Get ready for an all new dinosaur filled action and adventure series as the official poster and story for the 43rd (and 44th team) Super Sentai series, Kishiiryu Sentai Ryuusouger has been finally revealed!
And here's our story for our newest team:
"Before… There were knights who fought their archenemy ‘Druidon” using the powers of ancient dinosaurs. They were called Ryusouger. They rode their partner dinosaurs, the Kishiryu, and the days of their fierce fight using the Ryusouls that house their souls unraveled.
Now, in a peaceful world, the tremendous power of the Kishiryu has been sleeping, sealed away, but Druidon’s return draws near and the time to awaken is close… Now the curtain of a never before seen Super Sentai is cut down!"
Kishiiryu Sentai Ryuusouger will premiere next year, replacing Kaito Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger in the Super Hero Time slot when the series ends.
So almost the same premise as the others.

ReplyDeleteToei is just deliberately messing with the fans at this point. I'm not mad, I just find it hilarious that they had to throw in never before seen sentai when this is like the fourth dinosaur themed sentai. Now that I've gotten a better look at the suits and mecha, my opinion of the designs has improved. While the rest of the suits look decent if a bit simple, the helmets look utterly fantastic. It perfectly meshes the knight and dinosaur motifs in such a sleek looking manner. Blue and black's helmets stand out the most due to the former having triceratops horns protruding forward, and the latter with the horn sticking up as well as the design of the visor. I'd probably like these suits more if it didn't come after the Kyuranger and Lupinranger suits, which are some of the most creatively pleasing costumes in years. I also love the design of red's mecha, I just find the chest a little much.

ReplyDeleteSigh... I'm honestly extremely disappointed. SERIOUSLY? ANOTHER Dinosaur team within 5 years of the last one? Abaranger and Kyoryuger at least waited a while.
ReplyDeleteThey couldn't make the whole team be based off of different kinds of Dragons from different cultures and myths?
I just hope that it brings something new to the table in any way, or that the story/characters turn out to be great. At this point I'm praying the Sentai after this isn't Ninja themed...

ReplyDeleteI love how Blue and Black are posted. Blue shows class on how he holds the blade, kinda like Joe/Gokai Blue and Black reminds me of Takeru/Shinken Red.

@Unknown, blue isn't female, other images have shown blue without a skirt. Its just the stance and positioning make it look like so. Also, the suit is a darker shade of blue, which is usually a definitive indicator of the gender (with the exception of Liveman).
