Before anything else, I would like to say that this was actually intended to be a vlog. However, at the risk of being too emotional to the point of nonsense, I have decided to do away with the video.
In an act of defiance towards a management that failed to protect them, Maho Yamagichi Rena Hasegawa and Riko Sugahara have decided to leave NGT48.
After almost 3 months of inactivity, Maho Yamaguchi returns to the stage only to announce her intent to leave the group at the end of the performance.
Synopsis of the entire incident:
Maho Yamaguchi was assaulted in her own residence in Niigata Prefecture on the night of December 8, 2018. The men who attacked her were arrested, but released only 20 days later. Maho revealed the incident through a livestream on the streaming app SHOWROOM on January 8, 2019.
NGT48 Theater Manager Etsuro Imamura was replaced by Maiko Hayakawa due to alleged inaction for the incident.
A third party investigation committee was formed to look into the case aroud February. The results were announced on March 21, 2019 through a press conference led by AKS Director Takumi Matsumura. Matsumura stated the following:

-Matsumura claims that the incident was NOT a crime
-Matsumura claimed to not know about members who are dating fans
-Matsumura admitted Imamura giving special favors to fans
-AKS did not fire members allegedly involved in the incident due to lack of evidence
-Trainee Runa Hagiri's termination was related to the incident
The third party committee represented by Atty. Hideaki Kubori condemned AKS and Matsumura for their mishandling of the situation.

Rena and Riko have also announced graduation in solidarity with Maho. All three are scheduled to have one final performance on May 18, 2019.
