Legendary manga artist Motoo Abiko has passed away. He was 88 years old.
Motoo Abiko was famously known as the other half of the mangaka duo "Fujiko Fujio", a moniker he shared with Hiroshi Fujimoto, from 1954 to 1987. Motoo would use the pen name Fujiko A. Fujio, while Hiroshi would use the name Fujiko F. Fujio.
The duo were responsible for creating classics such as Doraemon, Obake no Q-Taro, Ninja no Hattori-kun, and many others.
Motoo Abiko passed away at home in Kawasaki, Kanagawa on April 7, 2022, due to old age.
