The CG anime adaptation of Masashi Tanaka's classic dinosaur manga Gon has been confirmed to get its 2nd season. The new season will be done with manga publisher Kodansha for a new set 52 11-minute episodes.
“Gon” manga series features the completely wordless adventures of the orange dinosaur, as he interacts with the natural world. He somehow survived the extinction of his fellow dinosaurs and interacts with paleolithic animals.
In the previous season, Motoko Kumai (Card Captor Sakura's Shaoran Li) does the voice of Gon, and Kenyuu Horiuchi (Suite Precure's Mephisto) and Yuji Mitsuya (Saint Seiya's Virgo Shaka) as the voices of the his trusted friends. Still no word if they'll reprise their respective roles for the new season.
The new Gon CG anime is scheduled to air by 2015.
