No Power Rangers Super Megaforce Cameo for Johnny Yong Bosch

To end all speculations and inquiries, actor Johnny Yong Bosch, known as Adam/Black Ranger II in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, reveals in his official Facebook page that he won't appear in the upcoming Power Rangers Super Megaforce episodes.

Yong Bosch, who most recent works include voice acting roles, stated,
Keep getting asked this but to set the record straight...no I wasn't officially asked to return for Megaforce. Most of us were interested in the thought of returning but it's probably best we didn't all get invited...would be cool to get a Forever Black or Green EP haha
Power Rangers Super Megaforce is the 21st season of Power Rangers continuing the celebration of the series 20th anniversary. The Megaforce rangers, will acquire a new "power up" in Super Megaforce and must be in this "new power-up" (Gokaiger suit) to transform into past rangers... This will also feature the appearance of the "Legendary Rangers".

I'm actually glad that he's not going to be on in my opinion. While yes, I love Johnny, he's putting his career first than doing this. As a fan of his band: Eyeshine he'll be very busy this year. I don't think it'd be worth dropping the band for a short period just for Power Rangers.
I realize that I'll probably be bashed but, the man does have a life outside the series that got him into the business.

I agree with the other anon. Just like many others who weren't asked or said no, they should put their work first especially if they can't afford to take the time out for the cameo for whatever reason.

Nope, you're right. Honestly all of them wanted to return, but flying to New Zealand is too much cost in terms of schedule. Unless they filmed it on US which they should've from the beginning, you can expect that at least one member from each team will appear, not just the previous 10.

I agree. There really is no point of Johnny putting this little reunion over his career as a musician and an actor in general. I mean, it would be nice if he did do a Forever Black or Forever Green special, but I don't think it would be worth him postponing his time with his band just to fly all the way to New Zealand to do one scene in Super Megaforce.

  5. And that is one of Gokaiger's strengths: that their legends were mostly still in the same country. Toei wrote a check Saban just couldn't cash.

I still have faith in Super Megaforce :), just will miss JYB.

I swear I am the only person on earth who hates JYB's guts

I thought he was still on tour. Although I actually thought JYB would show up for this. I'll just have to listen to his latest album instead!

I agree!! There is no point in adding JYB into this at this moment!! Because trust me does have better plans!! Super Megaforce might not be good as Gokaiger at the rate were going at!!!
