Godzilla 2014 Film's First Teaser

After a long wait, finally, here's the first teaser for the upcoming 2014 reboot on the Godzilla movie that debuted during this year during the San Diego Comic Con. The film is said to "return the character to its epic roots with a gritty, realistic actioner."

UPDATE: We received an email from Warner Bros regarding the "unauthorized use" of the trailer embedded on this site from Facebook. We'll just have to wait until they officially released the trailer.

The cast members include Aaron-Taylor Johnson (Kick-Ass), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene, Oldboy), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Argo), Juliette Binoche (The English Patient, Chocolat), David Strathairn (Lincoln, The Bourne Ultimatum), and Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Letters to Iwo Jima, Memoirs of a Geisha).

Directed by Britsh indie director Gareth Edwards (Monsters), Godzilla is scheduled to premiere on May 16th, 2014.

My jaw literally dropped when I saw this; Gareth Edwards has actually made Godzilla SCARY for the first time in decades! :O

I'm adding this to my list of "must-see" movies for next year.

    (ZELTRAX-MILLENIUM)

    Anon@9:22-AM, I couldn't agree with you more.

I also just LOVED Godzilla's new roar. It's even got a bit of his old roar in there.

Also, I couldn't tell if Godzilla in the trailer was CG or not.

I remember reading somewhere that the new Godzilla was gonna be a combination of both a suit AND CGI.

Can't remember if that was the case or not.

Still though, Big G still looks amazing and I cannot wait to see this movie.

It may very well be the first reboot movie that DOESN'T SUCK.

I like it. It reminds me a lot of the original 1954 Godzilla movie. With the nuclear-war like commentary really sets the tone. Godzilla is suppose to be a like a natural disaster, or a weather condition. A force of nature and emotion.

I swear to god, If I see anyone bitch about it being CG...

this one can be better than the previous adaptations.

  8. Have to admit, I like how they made it feel like the original movie/stage set only in CG form.

Just looking at this...It has promise. I'm usually turned off from any American movies that are based off of a Japanese culture. Dragonball, the scrapped Akira, King of Fighters, the 96 zilla... all were horrid.
This has a lot of promise. PLEASE DON'T BOTCH THIS!!!

that looked really good, visual destruction is like that of the "2012" moive and that guy who plays Walter White from Breaking Bad is in this, it's time to cook!

No matter how critics and review will slaughter this, this movie will definitely benefit from the marketing boost of:
    - Western folks are no longer a stranger to the Kaiju franchise thanks to Pacific Rim.
    - Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen are going to play twins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the Avengers Age of Ultron, so there will people checking this movie out to see their 'chemistry'.
    - Otaku (and an alarming increase of its population in the world today) will definitely see this hahaha
