KR Decade, Blue Buster, Gosei Black Stars in Taekwondo Damashii: Rebirth


TOEI had released a 30-second teaser for the upcoming martial arts movie Taekwondo Damashii: Rebirth. Directed by Hideyuki Katsuki, the film marks the first taekwondo-themed Japanese movie with, the cooperation of the International Taekwon-do Federation Japan (ITF-JAPAN).

The film stars former tokusatsu actors Masahiro Inoue (Kamen Rider Decade), Ryoma Baba (Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters), and Kyosuke Hamao (Tensou Sentai Goseiger). Inoue is said to be a real life taekwon-do practitioner, meanwhile, this will be Hamao's final film before he retires from the industry.


The story revolves around three brothers who are involved in a conflict over which one of them will be heir to the family taekwondo dojo. One day, they accidentally wander into a mysterious forest where they’re suddenly attacked. Their only means of escape is to keep defeating enemies utilizing their taekwondo skills in order to live up to their destinies.

Additional cast members include Kazushige Nagashima, Rina Koike, Seiran Kobayashi, and Renji Ishibashi.

Taekwondo Damashii: Rebirth will be released by Toei Video in Japan on February 15th, 2014.

    Kyosuke Hamao's final film before retirement and it's about him (and his bros) kicking a$$ in the forest to survive.

    Good way to go out.

    Masahiro Inoue is somewhat decent here, unlike any of his appearances as Decade, so that's nice. He still has the charisma of a wet paper bag, though.
