Idol group AKB48 now looks for a temporary member who is at least 30 years old for their Papico 2014 spring campaign! As the group announced the campaign, they even mentioned that even a mother could join the audition.
As the group revealed that there would be an "adult AKB48 audition" with the theme "also fun for adults" in Tokyo, they specify that the application is open for both married and unmarried female professionals and amateurs who are at least 30 years of age. Added to that, there is no age limit! And the winners will be included in AKB48 CMs and ads!
And for being an AKB48 member, winners have to do their routines. They have to attend daily training sessions and participate in performances including audience greeting events until the promotion ends. And then, the new member is ought to "graduate" after the promo period.
Papico is a snack by Japanese snack giant Ezaki Glico, the creators of Pocky. Papico is an novelty icecream that comes in a tube, like a sherbet version of Go-Gurt.
