The Garo Anime project that was announced last year in November at the Garo Thanksgiving event now has an official title, Garo: The Carved Seals of Flames (Honoo No Kokuin).
In this new original story, the Garo armor will be covered in flames and the anime will focus a lot of visuals that wouldn't be possible in the live action version.
Veteran tokusatsu writer Yasuko Kobayashi (Zero: Black Blood, Attack on Titan) will be the writer for the anime and he is joined by new director, Yuichiro Hayashi, who was previously in charge of the story board for 009 RE:CYBORG movie. Mappa anime studio (Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis, Hajime no Ippo Rising) will be in charge of the animation.
