Honestly can someone tell me why everybody seems to love kiriya. He had the worst lv 1 form, the lv 2 bike thing was kinda stupid (he couldn't fight in it so he was stuck in lv 1 most of the time until giri giri chanbara), the lying thing got kinda annoying (also he came off as a bit of a douche) and he died because of his own stupidity.

  2. because he and emu was the only rider at that time who wasn't trying to be edgy

Because he IS the game's Cool Guy. People like Kiriya for Kiriya, not his Rider form. He has the best henshin sequence, was the only one who actually dug deep enough to find out the cause of the Bugster virus, who Genm was, and why Emu could transform without having undergone surgery.

His lying was annoying? Are you daft? He had NO reason to trust any of them. He's a detective. I don't know if you're aware of this, but in that line of work you don't exactly go around divulging information to civilians. And when he did finally trust Emu, and told him who Genm was, what happened? They didn't believe him because Pallad outsmarted him. What was he supposed to do? Beg them to believe him? The fuck? They had no reason to believe him either.

And again. He died because he dug too deep. It was his CURIOSITY, and the search for the truth that got him killed. And lo, and behold because of that death, and the information provided because of it, he was the one responsible for EX-AID achieving level 99. Did you conveniently forget that? It was his investigation that got them the Reprogramming data to begin with.

It's funny that out of all the supporting characters, he had the least amount of screen time, but helped Emu the most.

Going to agree with strawberrybankai12 too. Taiga, and Hiiro were raging assholes at the time, and were quick to turn on Emu (and each other) at the drop of a hat. Especially Taiga.
