Toshiaki Nishizawa Dies at 77


Nikkan Sports reports that veteran actor Toshiaki Nishizawa passed away earlier tonight in a hospital at Setagaya, Tokyo due to lung cancer. He was 77. He is best known as Commander Qom in the tokusatsu series Space Sheriff Gavan.

Nishizawa was last seen reprising his role in the 2012 film Space Sheriff Gavan THE MOVIE.

    I still remember those old days watching Gavan and Shaider (never had a chance to watched Sharivan though) seeing him playing the role as their commander... and recently the Gavan movie...

    I will always remember Mr. Nishizawa...

    It was pure blessing to see him in the Gavan movie. Pure joy. Glad to have seen him one last time. RIP, good sir. Retsu can handle it from here.
