The cast of Ultraman Ginga

The latest issues of TV Magazine and Hyper Hobby magazine had published new images on Tsuburaya's new Ultraman hero, ULTRAMAN GINGA, celebrating the company's 50th year anniversary. As a part of the “New Ultraman Retsuden” programming block, it will premiere on July 10th.

All of the Ultra Heroes (and Monsters) have been turned into "dolls" by a mysterious power. Some of the dolls are scattered across the universe. A boy gets the "Ginga Spark" which empowers him to return the toys to their rightful size. Ginga will also fight monsters (and aliens) working for the power responsible for doll transformations.

To protect the people, by using the Ginga "Spark," Hikaru will fight to save us! He is now considered as the youngest Ultraman host at the age of 17.

Ultraman Ginga have a total of 11 episodes and two specials. The first six episodes will run from July to August, and another five will run from November to December, while the remaining two will air during events this September and spring of 2014.

Oh God, I hope this doesn't become a 12-episode advertising for Ultraman toys. I hope the toys do more than just advertising merchandise.

Ultraman Ginga looks really cool. Badass design. For an anniversary series it should come at no surprise the plot will be similar to Decade and Gokaiger. And to answer anon1's question of course it's going to be a 30 min toy commercial. All tokusatsu shows are like that. Get with the program.

  4. they looked like Goseiger for a while there
