It has been announced that a new One Piece anime TV special, entitled One Piece Episode of Merry: The Tale of One More Friend, will be airing on August 24th, Saturday, at 9PM JPT. As the title goes, the special will center around the Straw Hat Pirate member and the crew's first ship, Going Merry.
Like previous One Piece TV special retelling stories, this will have brand-new animation, and follows the story from Luffy and Usopp's fight and Robin's disappearance to the crew's final farewell to the ship, a Viking funeral held at the seas between Eines Lobby and Water 7.
