Live Action Rurouni Kenshin Film's Soujirou, Aoshi Revealed

The actors that will be playing as Soujirou Seta and Aoshi Shinomori for the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin live action film sequels have been announced! The next two films will cover Nobuhiro Wakatsuki's manga/anime's Kyoto Arc.

Playing the right-hand man of Makoto Shishio, Soujirou Seta is Ryunosuke Kamiki (Tantei Gakuen Q, Howl's Moving Castle), while Yusuke Iseya (Ashita no Joe, Honey & Clover) will play Aoshi Shinomori, the head of the Oniwabansh┼ź ninja.

It has been confirmed that Rurouni Kenshin will have another two live-action films encompassing the manga/anime's Kyoto Arc. These will be entitled “Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire Arc” and “Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend Arc”. Tatsuya Fujiwara (Death Note's Light Yagami) will play as the powerful Shishio Makoto.

The "Kyoto Arc" took place several months after Kenshin joins the Kamiya Dojo. Shishio Makoto plans to conquer Japan by destroying the Meiji Government, starting with Kyoto. Feeling that his friends may be attacked, Kenshin goes to meet Shishio alone in order to defeat him. However, many of his friends, including a young Oniwabansh┼ź named Makimachi Misao, decide to help him in his fight.

    alright! yusuke iseya is a decent actor and would definitely fit the role of aoshi!

    I'm liking the casting for the new characters so far... I was skeptical about Saitou and Jinne in the first movie, but they totally kick-ass. Here's hoping Saitou will be more screen-time, considering he's involved in the Shishio-arc.

    Kamiki also played the Lord of Light and Lord of Dark (child form) in Agito.
