The official Attack on Titan website is announcing that the show's final episode will premiere at the Marunouchi Picadilly 1 theater in Tokyo during a special event on September 28th, a few hours before the episode airs. It will be streamed live to 15 more theaters throughout the country.
Director Tetsuro Araki, producer Tetsuya Kinoshita, animation producer Tetsuya Nakatake, manga editor Shinataro Kawakubo, and voice actors Yuuki Kaji (Eren), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa), and Marina Inoue (Armin) will attend the event for a discussion.
The story centers around the lives of Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert, who live in a world where the remnants of the human population live inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the sudden appearance of the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason.

the manga runs pretty well and apparently goes to a really interesting plot. why should it end prematurely when you know it has still a lot to offer?
