Kamen Rider Gaim Episode 01 Preview

After an awesome Wizard finale today, here's the preview of Kamen Rider Gaim's 1st episode: “Transform! The Orange From the Sky”. Fans can finally see Gaim's proper "henshin" sequence, as it has been teasing since the first promo!

Kamen Rider Gaim is Kota Kazuraba. He accidentally found the Sengoku Driver. To fight the monsters called Inbess, Kamen Rider Gaim will stand up as a hero for justice!

To premiere on October 6th, Kamen Rider Gaim will be directed by Ryuta Tasaki (Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger) and Takayuki Shibasaki, with scripts from Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet).

    ARE YOU READY GAIM!?

    Kota:YEAAAAH!

    OK! PUT YA GUNS ON!

... I'm sorry.. the temptation was too strong.

I expect some crazy stuff from this show and Gen's writing direction should provide a shock or two.

Trust me, the fruit thing is probably "camouflage" for the darker stuff to throw parents off by presenting something that looks innocent and harmless.

All the haters seem to think that this series is some form of Shakespearean drama crafted by the gods and the ideas presented here are heresy instead of accepting that it's..ya know...a kid's show made for Japanese audiences on a budget governed by toy sales like Transformers.

Well it's time. The wait for this highly anticipated show is almost over. They have been building up that henshin pretty well. It's coming next week!!!!!!!!

It always amazes me how much mind rape kids from japan can take compared to those in western countries. Dark elements in stories are not so subtle (OOO even claimed that greed is necessary in living). Well I've seen "mature" cartoons that has that somewhat unexplainable twisted sense of humor (spongebob and adventure time, maybe its just me), but they take serious matters in comedic strides, unlike japanese shows that play them straight.

So what am I really trying to say? I'm starting to get sick of the current trend of toku that seems to favor toy introduction over story progression. Maybe its just me, but I would rather have a toy that had a deep meaning to me due to the show rather than have a toy that was presented on the show in stride (examples are fourze's switches, some of wizards rings and some of the 13 beast batteries that has those weird comedic effects). Kamen rider and super sentai are kids shows, some may say, but I remember liking OOO and W not for the toys, but also for the story. And seeing those two reaching 2 seasons, I can assume that the kids who watched them enjoyed it too, whether for the toys or the fun story I may never know.

Sorry for wasting your time reading my opinion.

I'm curious to see Urobuchi's sense of humor. Because the humor in Wizard was lame.

Also I hope they don't force the drama like certain schlocks such as Inoue and Yonemura.

I'll be frank I'ver liked any of the older seasons and I've seen most of them.

I'll take what people have said about Kuuga and Agito with a grain of salt. But I've people hated the ending of Agito.

    Ryuki: Meh
    555: Hated
    Blade: Meh
Hibiki: Ending is a huge WTf
    Kabuto: Hated
    Den-O: enjoyed most of it
    Kiva: Hated
    Decade: Hated

This show knows it is going to be a loser. I think Gaim realizes they are the death of KaRMEN Rider. I think the creators of Gaim want to make people hate the show. I think they want to be so over the top that they want the hate. I won't be watching the show. I'll watch classic Kamen Rider instead. The Classic series were better.

  8. Hahahaha!!!! Why would they want the hate? And when you mean by "classic Kamen Riders" do mean showa or hesisi

A lot of people thought gaim was gonna fail at first but now I hear people talking about how the show will actually do pretty well. It's pretty idiotic for you to think this before you have even seen the show. But of course no one is gonna listen to you because they all know you are a troll

I thought they were doing numbered themes here. Should have used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTniDw0Qxfg to commemorate the number 6. Just saying.

  11. Anonymous Says:

You definitely seem to have different taste than other people because from what I've seen people seem to mostly love shows like 555 and blade.Granted its your opinion so you're free to make your own judgment so I won't hold that against you.

^^^ OH MEN so much haters just enjoy the show and what are you talking about the ending it isn't even started yet so just please shut up the first comment is right it is not a shakespearian novel or a hollywood movie so don't expect much for a morning children show and their toys they're making for the child not the collectors(except SHF and SIC) MEN now my comment is long nobody will read it MEN

  13. JumpTheShark Says:

I like both Showa and heisei. My hate is legit for this horrible Gaim show. Those who call me a hater do not understand the Heiesei's have been focusing on horrible belt designs why the showa's had decent plot and storyline. The showa's at the start were a focus of story over transformation scenes. I barely could stand rocketheads belt. I mean come on it's bad enough to have us believe that a bad guy is going to just sit there while a person loads a bunch of switches out of nowhere.

Wizard I could see a little better with the rings, but they are still to flashy. It's horrible they need to go back and just focus on storyline instead of giving us this fruit crap. It's like they want to be bad to piss us off. The worse the belt design is seems to be what Heisei's are now. That is why they Jumped the shark. It's dead to me after Gaim. I'll still watch Super Sentai as well but this is like they are trying to make it a joke.

  14. Anonymous Says:

ok let me get this straight...Cards are ok? coins are ok? memories are ok? Switches are ok? Rings are ok? Bugs are ok but heaven forbid a fruit is involved...news flash we had a fruit themed rider before...kinda...momotaros anyone? Sword form?

  15. JumpTheShark Says:

The point is they are not ok. I was hoping we would have a rider who goes back to the classic belts. Super Sentai nearly lost me this seasons with the snap in stuff. For me Gaim is the last straw that broke the camels back. I had hope we would return, but now I see that is not going to happen.

Some Classic Kamen Riders never had huge transformation scenes.

  16. Shun-Pei Says:

    ^i got your point
Rider Belt is increasingly got weirder every year, but i think they just want to make something differently to make the border of their creation and their predecessor creation

i mean, its boring to repetitively doing and watching something that everyone has make in the past

personally i love the extravaganza transformation than just doing pose, light up and boom! transform!
in my cildhood it look cool, but not really now , there is too much hero do that so that if they use it again i will just watch it like parody of the past hero

end line : come to think of it, Meteor transformation is almost same like Showa Rider, JumpTheShark, be positive! ^^

  17. Anonymous Says:

May I ask why you are bashing the show before it started? Do you have the series entire script in front of you? I didn't think so. Don't hate on things you haven't seen. Besides, Gaim might surprise us and become popular.

  18. @JumpTheShark

I get what you are trying to say but lets face it, The target audience has always been children and I think kids these days prefer flashy transformations than story or plot. If watching classic Showa riders is what will help you get past this, no one will mind about it since it is your opinion. All I am saying is, behind that fruit theme, you still do not know what story it has to show.

  19. Anonymous Says:

If you think kamen rider is going to go back to the classical henshin belts of old, then you are completely mising the point. Kamen rider while darker than super sentai, is still aimed at the generally same audience, that being kids. As a result, that also means it is a toy commercial. Thats why we have the cards, coins, rings, switches etc. Without selling toys, they won't have money and without money, kamen rider can't survive. That is just cold hard fact at this point.

  20. Anonymous Says:

I'm talking about jump the shark btw

  21. Anonymous Says:

The belt isn't even that gimmicky. I mean look at Wizard he has to use his rings to do EVEYRTHING! Get his sword? Ring. Use an attack? Ring. Finisher? Ring.
At least Gaim won't have to do that.
