Kamen Rider Fourze's Sota Fukushi will be starring in the live-action film adaptation of Noboru Takahashi's horror survival manga Kami-sama no Iu Toori (As the Gods Will). The film will be directed by Takeshi Miike (Ace Attorney, Ninja Kids).
The original manga centers around Shun Takahata (Sota Fukushi), when strange and frightening things start happening in his high school. After his teacher is killed, he and his classmates must play horrifying games in order to avoid death. Also starring in the film are Hirona Yamazaki (Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu) as Shun's childhood friend Ichika Akimoto, and Ryunosuke Kamiki (Summer Wars, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen) as Shun's violence-loving classmate Takeru Amaya.
Screenplay will be handled by Hiroyuki Yatsu (Hanzawa Naoki, Ikigami: The Ultimate Limit). Director Miike will film the movie between June-October 2014, and will be released on Japanese theaters next fall.
