As always before the eventual reveal of the upcoming 38th Super Sentai series Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger (烈車戦隊トッキュウジャー) (we expect it to be later today), we always have some initial information, or rumors, that might be true or not. Courtesy of Japanese board 2ch, here they are:
To premiere ob February 16th, 2014, Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger features an introductory line: To protect the route of light, the "Rainbow Line" from the "Shadow" of evil, the 38th Super Sentai starts to run!
Their transformation device is the TokkyuChanger, a brace-type. The Tokkyuger's henshin device (brace). Each ranger transforms by loading a different TokkyuReshaar into the Changer: TokkyuIchigou - RedReshaar / TokkyuNigou - BlueReshaar / TokkyuSangou - YellowReshaar / TokkyuYongou - GreenReshaar / TokkyuGogou - PinkReshaar
Common weaponry includes the TokyuuBlaster, which transforms from "Uchimasu Mode" (Gun) into "Kirimasu Mode" (Sword). All members also have the TokyuuBuckle and Rainbow Pass.
Like their predecessors, the Tokkyugers also have their own personal weapons: Rail Slasher for Red, Form Trigger for Blue, Shingou Hammer for Yellow, Tekkyou Claw for Green, and Tunnel Axe for Pink. All can combine to form the Renketsu Bazooka.
Lastly, this year's main mecha will be called TokkyuOh. Its weapon, the "FumikiriKen".

Yuusha Tokkyuger !
sorry, can't help it... :D
In 3 years, we'll reach Super Sentai's 40th anniversary, but pumped up for Tokkyuger!!! :)
That is not the helmet. Someone probably drew that in MSpaint.
Most of these elements are the generic bones of a sensible with Tokyo in front. I'm not biting the Intel.
anybody know what Tokkyu means?
also, has anyone noticed they seem to be avoiding have the main name include "Ranger" but have individual members be called ranger?
Since Gekiranger the names have avoided ranger: go-onger, Shinkenger, goseiger, gokaiger, go-buster, kyorryuger and now Tokkyuger. The only exception during this period is if you count the unofficial sentai, Akibaranger.
Yet they still use the word ranger to define individual members, like the Spirit Ranger Cyan and Grey. And Gokaiger of course referenced "Ranger Key" even though "Sentai Key" would've worked as well.
Just think it's interesting.
@anon 6
if you watched Akibaranger, they discussed a bit about this "ger" thing that has been around from Hurricanger. it's the same with 'ranger', really. but with minimized character because of the word combining with sentai name. plus it sounds really cool.
They aren't called Spirit Ranger Grey or Cyan. They're still referred to KyoryuGrey and KyoryuCyan
16th February is a premiere of Tokkyuger?
That means Kyoryuger will ended with a total of 48 episodes overall.
They haven't really "avoided" the term "ranger", Anon 9:30, they've just abbreviated it. That's what the "-ger" in all of those titles (save for Go-Busters) is short for. Ran*ger*.
Nobuo and Mitsuki actually have an argument about the whole Ranger/-Ger thing in episode 3 of Akibaranger.
still waiting for Chuck Norris to appear in one of those "-ger" shows.
I'd take this helmet over the official ones, thankyouverymuch
ah i didnt recall that conversation from akibaranger about "ger" being an abbreviation of ranger. makes sense.
And Cat Mafia, they are KyoruGrey and Cyan, but they refer to themselves as Spirit Rangers. They call out "Spirit Ranger" instead of Kyoryu Change and when Grey, Cyan, and Violet transformed together they ended the call out with "We are.....Spirit Rangers!"
