Austin St. John, a.k.a Jason Scott Lee, the original Red Ranger from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and the Gold Ranger from Power Rangers Zeo is in talks with Saban in joining the newest team in next year's Power Rangers Dino Charge!
Austin made this announcement at Power Morphicon 2014 in the orginal rangers panel. The biggest question is: will he return as a veteran master ranger (a US version of Kyoryu Silver perhaps?) like JDF did in Dino Thunder or will he play another role in the series? Let's cross our fingers on this one.

Yas! Austin is my fave, I would be happy if he came out to be like the Cyan from the original, like dead and stuff lol
Yeah, it will be great to see him as Cyan... And a bonus if JDF is back as purple (male version), since he was the one who form Dino thunder, and fit in to be the one creating dino charge....
Well, its been 20 years, perhaps Zordon can be back as well to be the mentor again? Then reform as Silver!!
long shot but maybe with the upcoming MMPR film coming out they'll use the footage from kyoryuger vs go-busters featuring the 3 dino teams?

Definitely Austin should be Cyan. I hope they keep Torin for Dino Charge though I wouldn't mind if Zordon makes a return.
How is it whenever.. -WHENEVER- ranger alums make it into newer seasons; the JDF fanboys need to drag him back into the scene like some Ranger Holy Grail. The guy was cool and all, but wow.
If Jason comes back, I'd rather he not hog a new suit to himself; one Ranger hogging multiple suits takes away from having new, fresh characters to make for this franchise and puts a heavy limitation on teamup specials (Tommy is depriving two teams of a fifth Ranger in the Legend War just because he wants to hang back with his Mighty Morphin' pals).
A great idea, however, would be implementing Jason (and perhaps Conner) in a similar way to how Kamen Rider Decade implemented Kuuga. Jason could be a mentor who occasionally dons the MMPR Red suit to help the Dino Charge Rangers out.
It's almost definite he's either gonna be Cyan, Gray, or Silver... but judging from his current body size, probably Cyan. Want him to be Silver though...
He still looks great though, I was a fan, and even after he has aged, I'm still a fan XD
I think its best if he was a mentor.... Then he can don his mmpr suit again for the dinosaur reuninon movie!
Unless ASJ wearing a light blue shirt hints at something,i don't think him not being how he was 20 year ago should be reason to make him Cyan. Furthermore,and this is just my thought, physical shape hasn't mattered for some rangers before. So in that sense,look at justin in turbo,Kruger in SPD,the guy who played Solaris knight,etc. Added to that Daigo's dad in Kyoryuger. Sometimes it doesn't matter so much the persons physical shape to what they can transform into,that's why they have suit actors. Albeit yea im a ASJ fan and really to see him as Kyoryu Silver would be epic. If anything, I'd set it up like this.

JDF (also likely) -Kyoryu Gold,Violet or Death Ryuger. He comes back as an evil ranger (with even a new flute weapon lol) leading to an epic fight between Jason and Tommy one last time. Seeing as how DC will have more original stuff this season why not? :) Keep in mind though, him or jdf having a ranger role in the show could interfere if the Vs Go-buster footage with mmpr and dt is adapted.
i wonder if they just be doing a movie like they did with kyoryuger.and bring back the red ranger from power rangers and the red ranger from dino thunder as well.and just add them in a few episodes of the series.
I would rather see Austin St. John and Jason David Frank as mentors how Tommy and his lady friend in Dino Thunder did it.
If Tommy does go evil again only let it last for 5 episodes like in MMMPR season 1 only. Also I want to see new people after ASJ and JDF also in it.
The Main Villain needs to be more a long the lines of the Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa too. Heck we could see her as the Mystic mother or something for all I care. Since Sabin owns it again, maybe we could get back to more Ranger like episodes if the company who owns Nicktoons will allow us to see the show from February to January 31st or whenever leading up to the newer seasons.
Also we need more then 6 rangers this time too. I don't care if we see team ups again as long as they are benefiting the cast, crew, and most of all the fans too. I want to see David Yost return if Sabin and David could patch things up too. See him return as Billy tho.
