Another sad news has hit the ultra fandom and Japanese music industry this month as singer Peggy Hayama, age 83, know for her role as "the woman in green" and the voice of Ultra Mother has passed away last April 12 due to pneumonia.
According to Peggy's final blog post which was dated March 30th of this year, her last appearance and performance was in the Takarazuka event. In the next month, she was rushed in the hospital and was diagnosed with pneumonia.
Peggy made her singing debut back in 1952 when she was working through King Records. In 1965, he married Jun Negami who was later chosen to play the role of MAT's captain Ryu Ibuki from Return of Ultraman. Jun Negami passed away in 2005. Later, Peggy would guest star in Ultraman Taro as the voice of Ultra Mother and her human identity, the lady in green,
