I'd have to disagree with you "Anonymous May 4, 2017 at 11:29 PM". I think Bueno is super sexy because he knows what he's talking about and actually has the balls to create something instead of bigmouthed fans like yourself who has nothing to show for it. If you're so much better than he is why don't make something that will be better than Strega? Unless that is, you're scared and can't afford to fund your own Tokusatsu.

Before even Bueno made his first SHT review, i had the same opinion of the movie up to the latest. Yes, TOEI is just cashing people with their shitty SHT movies. In my humble opinion, the brass at the TOEI toku dept. does not care about the fans anymore as their only main priority is getting money from them. Thankfully, Tsuburaya doe snot have this kind of thinking and continues to bring us quality shows and movies even if some fans deemed them almost underrated. Today's TOEI toku writers are just fucking up things and continuities to the point that i'm getting sick and tired of all things modern toku. The 80's-90's tokus are better than this shit that we are being offered today.
The issue isn't whether or not SHT is a cash grab. I mean, any Toku show is made in order to sell toys. Gokaiger was in a dangerous place because even though it had low ratings (completely undeserved, btw), its toy sales were pretty good, which would imply that Sentai wouldn't need shows to sell toys.
Rather, the issue is whether or not it's executed well. Marvel makes movies to sell its products, Marvel movies are always a cash grab, but they're almost always executed with care, skill, and appreciation. That's what a review should depend on, really.
Anonymous@ 2.33AM - i'm actually surprised to learn that Gokaiger has low ratings and only the ranger keys were selling... i thought it was also a hit on the ratings aa well
