Bandai's official B-boys site has finally released the official images for the DX Phoenix Blade & Shield set, the primary weapon and transformation device for the Phoenix Soldier who will be debuting next week!
The DX Phoenix Blade & Shield set include the Phoenix Kyutama and will have light and sound effects which can be triggered by pressing the trigger from the sword's hilt but it will not have a Kyutama reader function similar to the DX Ryutsueder.
The DX Phoenix Blade & Shield set is scheduled to be released next week to coincide with Phoenix Soldier's debut and will be priced at 5,378 yen.

what's the point of having not being able to interact with the kyuutama wasn't the whole gimmick of this season the kyuutama?
You just be new around here. The 6th/extra ranger's items almost never have a reader for the gimmick. The Leon Cellular I'm pretty sure couldn't read Gosei Cards, the Gokai Cellular couldn't read Ranger Keys, the Gaburi Changer only made sounds for Pteragordon, the AppliChanger only made sounds for Drill and Build Resshas, and now there's the Ryuu Tsueder and Houoh Blade/Shield. Par for the course at this point. Any other 6th ranger items either had no gimmick (i.e. Zyuoh the Light, the Morphin Blaster) or had all the sounds in the gimmick itself. (I.e. Wing Trigger, Ninja Star Burger)
