Toei has finally confirmed the format for their upcoming Kamen Rider W sequel project: a manga series which will be published by Weekly Big Comic Spirits and is slated to be published next month, August 7th!
Entitled Kamen Rider W: Wind City Detectives, the story follows the continuing adventure of the hard boiled detectives Shotaro Hidari and Phillip as they protect Futo from danger as the masked hero, Kamen Rider W.
Veteran heisei Kamen Rider writer Riku Sanjo will be writing for the manga series while manga artist Katsuya Terada will bring life to the heroes with Toei producer Hideaki Tsukada supervising the project.

This is... not what I was expecting... but it's cool none-the-less, looking forward to it (assuming someone will translate it).
What ever happened to the kamen rider book series' they published. I remember they made a few but stopped.
Hopefully being in manga format will leave them a good amount of artistic and expressive freedom (like showing blood or heavier themes), the Kamen Rider Spirits manga was great because of it.
Yeah, I'm disappointed too. I wanted a new TV show or movie. I liked to read. Probably going to read this manga but its not what I desired when they announced something to continue the story.

Agreed. Now he just need panda eyes and weird quirkness to go full L. I guess thats what the writer been basing Phillip's character
