Recently, actor Eiji Takigawa, known for his tokusatsu role as Riki/Dogga from 2008's Kamen Rider Kiva, has suffered a spinal cord injury in an accident during the filming of the live-action Yawamushi Pedal 2 TV series.
The news was announced by Takigawa's agency, Eri Office. The actor (who plays the role of Juichi Fukutomi) was rushed to the hospital via helicopter and he has already under surgery. The incident happened last September 15th when Takigawa was cycling down the hill and collided with the left curb where he was cycling in the right curb.
Even without him, the broadcast of the Yawamushi Pedal 2 TV series will resume with blessings from himself. Takigawa will also drop his role as Rom, in which he will be replaced by Gomoto Naoya, in the Show By Rock!! -Shin'en no Cross Ambivalence- live musical which will be held next month.
