Power Rangers Ends Partnership With Bandai Possibile Partnership With Hasbro Rumored


After 25 years of bringing us morphers, figures and megazords, the Power Rangers franchise has announced that they will end their partnership with Bandai and the toy franchise is now up for grabs and its rumored that a certain toy company is interested.

This was announced at a press release from the Saban Brands website:

"After a successful 25-year partnership building the iconic action franchise, Power Rangers, Saban Brands and Bandai have mutually agreed not to renew their global Power Rangers master toy license agreement, effective April 2019. 

Bandai will continue to support Power Rangers, including the 2018 commemoration of the Power Rangers 25th anniversary and the current season, Super Ninja Steel. In addition, Bandai, through its partnership with Toei Company Ltd., will continue to exploit toy rights for the Super Sentai series, which has enjoyed over 40 years of success, in Japan and select other Asian territories."

Current rumors say that Transformers and Marvel Legends masters, Hasbro, is interested in acquiring the rights to the Power Rangers toy franchise. Stay tuned for more news and confirmation regarding this news.

    About time Saban got tired of BoA's shit. The diminished overall quality of the toys in compared to the JP counterparts got worse and worse and nobody wanted to buy that stuff anymore. They'd rather import the super sentai versions to get a better overall value for the money!
