SKE48's top member and ace Jurina Matsui finally announces her intention to leave the group.
The 22-year old idol has made her announcement during SKE48's theater performance on February 7, 2020.
Jurina Matsui joined SKE48 in 2008, as one of the original members at only 11 years old. With this graduation, she is also the last 1st generation member to leave the group.
Her popularity began to rise after appearing in AKB48's Oogoe Diamond in 2008, as the first non-AKB48 member to be featured in an AKB48 single, and even became center in said song. She has since become center for most of SKE48's singles and a staple member for AKB48 singles as well.
Jurina's popularity finally made its peak in 2018 after gaining 1st place in AKB48's General Elections.
Jurina will have a graduation concert on September 26-27, 2020 at the Nihon Gaishi Hall and will have her final SKE48 theater performance on October 5, 2020 on SKE48's 12th anniversary special event.
Jurina intends to continue on as an actress after SKE48.
