Super Sentai Producer Susumo Yoshikawa Passed Away At Age 89

A very sad news has hit the tokusatsu industry as Susumo Yoshikawa, one of Toei's main producer for the Super Sentai franchise has passed away at the age of 89 due to respiratory failure last July 10, 2020.

Mr. Yoshikawa joined Toei when he was 22 and focused on tokusatsu in which 1972's Kikaider was his first project and later contributed to the creation of the first ever Super Sentai series, Himitsu Sentai Goranger and then working with Saban in the 90's.

He later produced the hit series, Kamen Rider Black, and then followed by Kamen Rider Black RX till Kamen Rider J. He also the one who brought us the Metal Heroes franchise.

To us here in the whole tokusatsu community, we give Mr. Yoshikawa's family our deepest condolences and prayers. Thank you for the legacy that you have left us. Because of you, our childhood is an adventurous journey. Rest in peace, Mr. Susumo Yoshikawa.
