Recently, 2 game developers were arrested for violating the copyright law by using Kamen Rider EX-AID in an authorized game app.
The 2 game developers, aged 39 and 34 who have admitted the charges, allegedly created a game app and then using Kamen Rider EX-AID as a character in the said game without any authorization from Toei in which the game was distributed way back in December 2019.
They were also under investigation for distributing 70 other game apps where licensed characters where also used without any permission from the original owners in which they made around 50 million yen in advertising.
