Singer and voice actress Sayaka Kanda was found dead outside of a hotel. She was only 35.

According to news reports, she fell from the 14th floor of a hotel in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Suicide is seen as a possible cause. Her death was officially reported on December 18, 2021.

Sayaka Kanda was the only child of actor Masaki Kanda and legendary  pop singer Seiko Matsuda. She was also briefly married to actor Mitsu Murata, who was known as the male Makamou in Kamen Rider Hibiki, and Bishop in Kamen Rider Kiva.

Sayaka Kanda made her singing debut in 2002 with "Ever Since". As a voice actress, she is notable as the Japanese voice actress for Anna in the "Frozen" franchise. She also appeared in Kamen Rider Den-O: Saraba, Den-O, as Sora.
