Ghibli classic Mimi wo Sumaseba/Whisper of the Heart gets a live action film!
The live action film stars Tori Matsuzaka (Shinkenger, Gatchaman) as Seiji Amasawa, and Nana Seino (Kyou kara Ore wa) as Shizuku Tsukishima.

The original animated film came out in 1995, and became iconic for its rendition of John Denver's Take Me Home, Country Roads.
Mimi wo sumaseba/Whisper of the Heart live action is slated for release on October 14, 2022.
