A sad day has hit the Power Rangers and tokusatsu community as it was announced that American actor/MMA fighter Jason David Frank, who is famously know for his role as Tommy Oliver in the Power Rangers franchise, has passed away at the age of 49.
The news was announced by JDF's rep and long time friend Justine Hunt and confirmation was followed-up by his former Power Rangers co-stars. Reports have also confirmed that his cause of death was suicide. He is survived by his four children.
Jason was best known for his role as the green and white ranger in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, then as zeoranger V in Power Rangers Zeo, red turbo ranger in Power Rangers Turbo, and black dino thunder ranger in Power Rangers Dino Thunder.
