The announcement was made in Comicpro 2025 by DC editor-in-chief Marie Javins and Marvel editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski where they confirmed that there would be two major comic crossovers for both universes this year where it started with 1976's Superman VS. The Amazing Spider-Man and ended 20 years ago with Justice League VS. Avengers.
There was also a Marvel VS. DC crossover event in the 90's where fans can vote on who will be the winner whereas this event also created the Amalgam universe where the some well-known heroes from each brand merged into one being like Superman and Captain America who became Super Patriot, and Batman and Wolverine who became Dark Claw.
No other information regarding what or who and when will this happen but think of the possibilities, could this happen only in the comics or will it also happen in the shared cinematic universes of each brand? Only time will tell.
