It was announced by Toei that Japanese-Filipina actress Maya Imamori, who portrays the role of Sumino Ichikawa/Gozyu Unicorn from No.1 Sentai Gozyuger, was terminated from her role, effective immediately.
Her termination is due to a recent event where her agency found her consuming alcoholic drinks while being underage (19). In contrast, Japanese government law states that the age required for an individual to consume such is 20. Imamori's agency has also ended her contract.
The actress expressed her regrets on her Instagram account after the incident, noting that she will contemplate the seriousness of her behavior. Afterward, all of her social media profiles were suspended as well.
Subsequently, the actress was taken out of the series' opening credits, and her profile was erased from the official series website by TV-Asahi, with no preview appearing in today’s episode, where Ayaka Maekawa provided the voice acting for her in-suit role
