As a fan of the Power Rangers and Super Sentai series, it hurts me that they will use the Gokaiger suits in THIS season of Power Rangers. The Megaforce storyline is strong enough to not have to rely on the next generation of heroes and abilities.

To use their suits as a "Super Power Up" makes no sense.
1. A "Power Up" should enhance the look and the abilities of the current rangers.
2. Why do they have to change suits only to change to another suit?
3. This version of powering up diminishes the well designed suits of the Gokaiger and essentially skips a full group of heroes!

If all this is true... they better have a damn good storyline.

If its not too late for you people why dont you petition to saban and let the gosei suits be the primary suits instead of gokai suits (let the gokai suits go away) and "transform" to past rangers similar to how the MMPR season 2 did and furthermore ask them to increase the budget letting the "ranger keys" be replaced by "Ranger cards" to change into previous rangers except for the silver ranger of course.

Look, I don't mind if they're using the Gokaiger suit, but why don't they pull a Zeo move here, have the Gokaiger replace the suits completely, and then midway they regained Megaforce powers.

Hey guys its not too late ,Lets petition "SABAN" right now and ask them to let the gosei suits stay in super megaforce without the "Gokaisuits" but the megaforce rangers will only transform into "past" rangers by using cards (american made that is) instead of "ranger keys" except the silver ranger of course i mean we need to have super megaforce to be consider as a homage to the MMPR second season like using the zyuranger costumes with a kibaranger in the second season
and to do that lets ask "SABAN" to increase more budget so that they can make american made megazord cockpits suitable to the gokaigalleon footage especially the gokai mechas just like how MMPR season 2 and 3 did (especially samurai) and put less gokaiger footage in it or else we should let the series be canceled.

Seems like Super Sentai getting BeTTer and Power Rangers getting WoRse...Saban power rangers very popular with super sentai dubbed with armor/stuff upgrades which is super sentai don't have it..But now Saban prefer making 2 series into one with "power-ups" terms..seriously ? ...gosh I'm miss how wonderful MMPR into Zeo storyline :/

In my opnion, I think that's kind of dumb Marty. Gosei Suits only plus GokaiSilver seems out of place and weird if the Megaforce Rangers don't use the Gokai Suits. Plus Saban is already doing the filming and I highly doubt he's even going to change his mind just because you guys think it's a dumb idea.

I don't understand why changing from black to green is a big deal. For one, it happened all the time when Don changed in Gokaiger.

Two, those colors have always been rather interchangable. Hell just look at MMPR through Space. Black to Green and then from Green black to black.

And three, and perhaps the biggest of all, the pedestal thing in episode 1 of Megaforce for the black ranger was green (and still is now). It was a dead giveaway since the very beginning.

I wonder if they might make some PR inspired original gokai changes? for example, if they were to make Jason David Frank the Silver Ranger (we know from Dino thunder he knows how to make ranger suits/zords) they can do an all-Tommy change.

or maybe have a gokai change similar to the final episode of gokaiger, where they used "Super Ranger" instead making it 6 different battlelizer modes from PR.

i have to imagine they'll add some with the MMPR suits. there is not a lot of usuable footage from gokaiger. zyuranger just wasn't one of the go-to suits like Gaoranger, shinkenger, goranger, jaqk seemed to be

I swear....this, I dunno. Ok, here has been my ultimate problem with Megaforce thus far, it feels so lazy to me. And honestly the whole Gokaiger "Power-up" thing feels just as lazy simply due to the fact that they are probably doing this just because they can't use as much sentai footage due to the teams before Zyuranger. And I get that it can be an issue but look at RPM. They took what had to be one of the goofiest seasons of Sentai and made it awesome. But with Megaforce they don't even change the names on the freaking cards (You can't call the Ultra Gosei Great Megazord 'Hyper' because?)I dunno I feel like Saban is just hoping kids will buy toys and has no afterthought on this series, and yes I know Sentai sells toys too but there is some thought on their series. It just doesn't feel right. Kibaranger with the Zyurangers pretty much worked out 'cuz they both have bestial motifs (dinosaurs for Zyuranger, mythical beasts for Dairanger). But Gokai Silver with the Goseigers? The pirate motif isn't really anywhere near to the angel motif...

The only thing it will make sense is that the rengers lost their power similar to the sentais and "Gokai Silver" give them the pirate powers kind of like in space, when the turbo rangers lost their powers and andros give them the astro morphers, and what about the intro it will be funny to see if they keep the introduction as goseigers or in gokaigers suit, to my personal opinion the gokaigers suit are gona steal the show jajajaja

That is totally inaccurate. "Episode 11: Ultra Power" is when they get the Wild Swords "Abare Headders" to become Ultra "Super Goseiger". Super Megaforce is the Ranger Keys, not the Wild Swords. I think they're trying to get us all confused and screwing up the story plot.

Looks like they are keeping the same writers for "Super Mega Force". So far Mega Force has been a complete disappointment. I don't blame the actors. Well they could've casted Troy and Emma better. Power Rangers has some of the laziest writers i've ever seen. The worst by far. Gokai suits as power ups ! Horrible idea.

My favorite season of Super Sentai has been lowered to a mere f*cking POWER UP, Gokaisilver is the only pirate among the "angel-like suited" 5 megaforce rangers while becoming pirates, we are gonna have 15 missing teams (obviously) but the have already shown the 34 teams of super sentai last year... Saban, you have gained my entire hatred for life.

Just so you guys know, Pre-Zyuranger sentai teams are in the intro to mega force i dont think there will be a problem with saban using past sentai.

Hmmm. You know, I think the old Power Rangers Animated rumors might be better here. At least if they make it, it'll be 100% original, regardless if they make a new series or adapts from Sentai.

Look Power Rangers and Sentai are two different things so they are not going to be like their counterparts since Super Megaforce is something totally different from Gokaiger so I don't know why you're whining about them messing up your favorite Sentai if they are just two different things.

Also it's is not what you decides but it is what Saban decides to make this show as. Yes, I know how you feel for doing this the way that they are doing it now but hell at least give it a chance! It might be something just as awesome as Gokaiger but we don't know so we'll have to wait and see what happens. Ok, I'll be honest from both points of view, firstly I loved the entire gokaiger series, especially after Gai showed up, and I partly think that Saban should burn for not truly attempting to at least watch the series himself and give the show some worth.

That being said now that my fanboy inner geek said it's part, honestly I would be alright if Saban pulls a Zeo kinda move with this talk of a power up, because in a way that is kinda what Zeo was. Now if it really is a power booster excuse to just say "hey geeks out there, I'm showing the suits like you wanted, but as like a super boost like as Mystic Force or even Jungle Furry because it's simpler to do", well buddy you've already shown carelessness in I believe ep 3 or 4 of mega where one of red ranger's dream shows Diaranger red, explain how that is supposed to work in the built timeline. Saban's response "I'm making money off of the toy line, don't care for I'm aiming this at preschoolers anyway" yeah can't say I'm gonna be happy about this, but I will still sit and wait to see if this is to be another bust like Samurai cause I lost interest only about 5 ep in, I'm really only staying for gokaiger part of the series at this point and counting the Easter egg like bad editing of footage showing bad things. Only way I see this ending proper is that it turns out they were already the sprit of the rangers past and never actually existed before. (Proper as if this does blow up and Saban tries to recover a money maker)

I honestly think it's a pretty dumb idea to make Gosei/Gokai into one series or season but I think here are some pointers we can consider why these happens.

*Perhaps they want Gokai to be part of the anniversary season since Gokaiger is an anniversary season.

*They can't easily dismiss or replace actors/actresses who are bind in contracts. From what I have observed, the early line ups of MMPR are typecast. (I have no complains with the MMPR legend Jason Frank/Tommy Oliver but having him with multiple ranger signature but this can add up the problem for the Megaforce series) Those things happens pretty often on a long term projects where American is a land of opportunities, removing stars who are at the peak of their fame can usually
cause uproar from the production itself and viewers.

*Their target primary audiences are kids, perhaps hardcore sentai fans is the next on the list. In this case, the flaws we usually point out won't be bothered by these primary target audiences.

* Saban was trying to adapt sentai since Jetman (or even as early as Dynaman) because sentai got famous but wasn't adapted for some reason and this leads MMPR to start with Zyurangers instead. In this case, engaging Super Megaforce closer to gokai has granted the possible loop hole and inconsistency.

Toei do what they see it fit that defines sentai while Saban do their part to define Power Rangers. Let's accept the fact that this is MMPR and this is Sentai. This for to make sure it will be easily adapted by the respective culture where will these series will air. Japan knows sentai the best, but the world knows MMPR better then sentai. That's the bitter truth so we have to move on.

What a waste. Gokaigers had a good storyline and they're gonna just throw it away. Hope they don't throw away the concept of the team earning the previous Rangers 'Grand Power'. Should've just went with a new team and so that we can still see the Gokaiger Goseiger team up. Or they should eventually pass down the powers to a new team. Not Good. Anywhere we look at it. I'm a big fan of Tokusatsu. I see Saban's doing the show all for money. Hated Saban since Masked Rider and VR Troopers although I have a heart for Power Rangers.

Neutral for the most part, though I would prefer Gokaiger and Goseiger to be separate. I AM excited for Tommy's return though. As for the people calling others "whiners" and "babies" and "butthurting fanboys"... get a life. You're no better. You seem to be "butthurting" about the fans complaining. And no, they are not trolls. They have a right to an opinion, and they're expressing it. Without fan opinion, TV shows in general would have nothing to improve on and build from. Someone needs to point out the flaws, and what's "broken," so they can be "fixed," so to speak. I honestly do thing it's pretty stupid to have a second power up, only to transform into yet ANOTHER ranger. Why not just LOSE the Goseiger powers altogether, and THEN get the Gokaiger suits.
