It has been announced that idol group AKB48 member Tomomi Kasai will be graduating from the group this May 3rd, after the Shinoda Team A performance at the AKB48 theater.
Kasai's will also be present in the AKB48 handshake event on April 20th which will be held at Makuhari Messe. This will be her final appearance in the said event. In addition, she will also be releasing her second single this coming May 8th. Meanwhile, details on her upcoming photobook is yet to be announced.
Last December, Tomomi Kasai released her debut single “Masaka”. But during “The 2nd AKB48 Kohaku Taikou Uta Gassen” event last December 17th, she announced her graduation from the group.
Tomomi Kasai, known as "Chiyuu~" and "Tomo~mi-chan" to fans, is a 2nd generation AKB48 member. She starred in AKB48's own drama series Majisuka Gakuen, as Ookabuki (half of the Kabuki Sisters duo), and in Kamen Rider W as Elizabeth.
