Power Rangers Super Megaforce at the Licensing Expo 2013

A teaser for Super Megaforce was also seen at the event.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce focuses on the Rangers' mission to defeat a massive alien army Armada that was sent to conquer Earth. To face this threat, Gosei, a supernatural guardian who has protected Earth for centuries, gives the Rangers special morphers and keys, which allow them to morph into Super Megaforce Rangers. The Rangers also have an added special ability to morph into any team of Power Rangers from the past. These super-sized adventures can only mean one thing: the all-new Power Rangers Super Megaforce has arrived!

@1st anon lmao your crazy but i agree i think or at least hope there is hope for power rangers due to the fact that ratings are low as I've seen guess we will just have to tune in

All i want to know is why the hell is everything about super mega force what about the first mega force that they left undone after 10 eps this is why i feel betrayed by saban brands they cleary said this season was for us mega force and super but so far all ive seen is a rip off of mmpr maybe they meant another aspect of the show was for us

  4. NeoD Says:

Uwaah... Why are they always doing some random pose like that?
It feels so out of their characters.

  5. WillowWisp Says:

I know that this is basically in the same mentality as judging a book by its cover, but I have failed to see a single good thing about Super Megaforce aside from the return of older actors.

Part of me feels like this is gonna be on par with Sonic '06 in terms of anniversary celebrations. Hype surrounding the project and the need to get it out as something to celebrate the anniversary, but will pretty much be rushed, unpolished and only have one or two things that make it good but nothing that can redeem it.

Isn't it funny how Saban stated that he wanted to give respect back to the franchise that Disney failed to do? Sure, they gave us Operation Overdrive, but are they just going to overlook Dino Thunder, RPM and SPD?

  6. GoseiPirate Says:

Well....technically he's Super Megaforce Red right there.

i have a bad feeling about this show.
i think( and i hope that its not true) that we only get 1 or 2 episodes with ''legedary rangers''
and the rest will be just them changing in to the past rangers.
and the suitactors from this event are missing something. gokaiger had attitude.

OMG, no, no ... I have watched Gokaigers fully, and seeing them completely ignore original character interpretation, just to keep the feel of original megaforce... I was hoping they wouldn't go that far. I'll be only happy with it if green ranger does something silly like Doc. Otherwise, well, I guess Power Rangers ain't what I hoped it to be for.

  9. Gokaiger has been out for over 2 years now. How the hell did Saban not see this coming and prepare themselves financially? Do they even know about GoBuster and Kyoruger? To me, there is no excuse for that.

I'm not even a big fan of the way Saban is doing things, but some of you people make me sad.

"wtf have they done they are supposed to be pirates for fuck sake not your fun loving waving friends"

This isn't Gokaiger nor are any of those characters the same from Gokaiger. Stop thinking they are.

"Uwaah... Why are they always doing some random pose like that?
It feels so out of their characters."

What? Troy, Emma, Noah, Gia and Jake's character? How so? Because again, this isn't the sentai, so you obviously shouldn't be talking about the Gokaiger.

"They're fucking idiots over at Saban Brands. I truly hope this is the final season. Put the franchise out of it's misery already."

Not disagreeing with you on the quality of the product, but PRSM isn't the final season. Toy sales are soaring through the roof, and despite less viewers than the first few episodes of Samurai, the show is still being watched more than the disney era. It's not the final season, and the franchise isn't going anywhere. The sooner you accept this you can either accept that this is the way PR is going to be (not saying be happy with it, but accept it) and either hope future seasons are at least watchable/able to watch ironically or stop watching it all together and just stick with the original episodes you like.

The show isn't going anywhere people. This isn't Gokaiger. Wake up and realize the facts.

If Megaforce/Super Megaforce is any indication, I think we've seen the future of the franchise. Saban has been playing catch-up ever since the switchover to Nickelodeon delayed the release of Samurai (thanks for cancelling it Disney), so to make up for lost time, they're now rushing two Sentai into two seasons of one Power Rangers series. Not a betting person, but if I were I'd wager they will combine Go-Buster and Kyoryuger the same way.

  12. NeoD Says:

"What? Troy, Emma, Noah, Gia and Jake's character? How so? Because again, this isn't the sentai, so you obviously shouldn't be talking about the Gokaiger."

Nope, I mean the suits actor doing random pose that is out of the original character from the show.
It's not the first time, the Samurai that was shown during some events, did random pose that feel so out of the character from the series (and I'm not talking about their Sentai counterpart).

Delicious Gokai tears. Delicious Gokai tears ^_^.

Seeing you weenies getting mad over NOT BEING SENTAI is truly delicious.

And guess what? I'm willing to bet the toys will be better than the ones from Bandai of Japan.

  15. Anonymous Says:

Don't know about other people but I for think Saban should move from Nickelodeon to some other broadcaster WHO DOESN'T LIMIT THE NUMBER OF EPISODES TO BE AIRED IN A YEAR... That way they can stop spewing out all this ''Super'' crap. Imagine having every second season with the word super, gosh. Where are the good old days of just having one season per year instead of dragging it for two years.

  16. Unknown Says:

First of all, to the one who told Saban to put the franchise out of its misery, I think (and this is NOT a joke) that Nickelodeon (and Nicktoons) are already putting it out of its misery (it's at 1p almost every Saturday; it's one of the lowest-rated shows on the network; it's pre-empted from time to time (think KCA, ratings ploy for Sam & Cat, or the pulling of premieres of Super Samurai, Kung Fu Panda, T.U.F.F. Puppy, etc. due to equally-low ratings); Supah Ninjas apparently got even lower ratings leading to its cancellation; though Nicktoons has put it back on TV). Vortexx on The CW already permanently removed it (either The CW had issues with the content or Sonic X is more popular) in favor of an hour of Sonic X, though Lost Galaxy is on Kabillion and Hulu now. For the other Anonymous who said the franchise isn't going anywhere, what other TV network could Saban get it aired? People already hate Cartoon Network for its hasty removal of DC Nation back in October, and it has enough live-action (blame current CEO Stuart Snyder). The show got too expensive for Disney to produce. If Saban adapts Go-Busters and Kyoryuger... well, we don't know what could come out of it. Also, we know that Saban's TRUE partners in the celebration of Power Rangers' 20th anniversary have been Netflix, Hulu, Lionsgate, Bandai, Kabillion, and Shout! Factory, among others. They're the only ones keeping the franchise alive. The networks don't care AT ALL. In fact, it says the show will return to Vortexx in the 1st quarter of 2014, though I doubt that's likely IF the rumors about the CW worrying about the content and/or Sonic X being more popular (even though it's been only rerun for 7 years) are true, and at the rate the show keeps getting low ratings on Nick...

  17. Anonymous Says:

I think they'll move somewhere else by the time this series is over, seeing that this scheduling format is pissing off a lot of the viewers and the fact that it's a real hassle to make two separate series work as one.

Though I'm not expecting great things from this season, I'm sure it'll do a fine job honoring power rangers.

Everyone here bitching about Gokaiger and how PR sucks, is just faggot looking for a fight.
Gokaiger was marketing trash made specifically to milk this series for it's worth through toy sales.
And this is it's american equivalent.
    Deal with it.

  18. a. We wouldn't be having this discussion if you all just didn't watch Super Sentai.

    b. Using the term "super-sized" makes it sound like a McDonalds ad.

  19. Anonymous Says:

So, even with Saban PR still gets low ratings? It's because of the too childish approach on it. I don't know, just up the quality a bit. When they said PR are kids show it's like it's the same group as Disney Jr.

I mean what's wrong with making it seemed like more mature show? I just want them to make PR believable.

  20. Unknown Says:

Yeah, but remember: the way children's shows are perceived in Japan is much different than the way children's shows are perceived here in the U.S. Japanese broadcast laws are less strict than American broadcast laws. For example, Super Sentai is more violent and contains more mature themes than Power Rangers. However, seasons like PR in Space, Time Force, and RPM are considered very dark seasons, and one Super Samurai episode: "Evil Reborn", could be considered one of the darkest. Back to the networks' (Nickelodeon/Nicktoons/Vortexx on the CW) dismal treatment of the show; if I had my own network, I'd definitely give it better treatment, as it has gotten in other countries, than what it's gotten here on U.S. TV.

  21. Unknown Says:

So now, Nickelodeon and Nicktoons (and Vortexx on the CW, IF the CW still has concerns about this show, if that's even true) are doing all they can to make sure Power Rangers never gets aired on TV again.
