Power Rangers Super Megaforce SDCC Promo

There's the most awaited promotional video for the 21st season of Power Rangers, Power Rangers Super Megaforce seen at the recent San Diego Comic-Con, courtesy of RangerCrew. This will be our first look as the Mega(force) Rangers transform to Super Mega(force) Rangers!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce focuses on the Rangers' mission to defeat a massive alien army Armada that was sent to conquer Earth. To face this threat, Gosei, a supernatural guardian who has protected Earth for centuries, gives the Rangers special morphers and keys, which allow them to morph into Super Megaforce Rangers. The Rangers also have an added special ability to morph into any team of Power Rangers from the past. These super-sized adventures can only mean one thing: the all-new Power Rangers Super Megaforce has arrived!

  2. Unknown Says:

bs cant believe they even use the dai ranger wtf

  3. Anonymous Says:

Well as a PR and SS FANS i say this pretty GOOD but i hope that they can explain about the DAIRANGER'S POWER and SUIT

  4. Unknown Says:

if they were just gonna reuse footage AGAIN, id rather watch gokaiger AGAIN

  5. Unknown Says:

if they were just gonna rehash sentai footage AGAIN, Id rather watch gokaiger AGAIN

at least id get to see mao's legs again

  6. Anonymous Says:

So they're using the Dairanger suits?

  7. MLP Chikan Says:

Why do people always have to say they need to explain things? Did they ever explain why the White Ranger wasn't a Zyuranger? I don't believe they did, because they don't HAVE to. Why? Just to please your little otaku heart? I damn well hope they don't. I want them to use pre-Zyuranger Sentai without "explanation" just so it can piss you people off. I'd like to know why suits have to be explained, and to who. From where I sit, there's only 3 groups of people: The clueless American audience that's never watched or heard of super Sentai, the kids, who by the way don't care, and just want to see "hero action", and then there's the toku fandom, that nitpicks every detail. The first two I'm sure wouldn't care, frickin' DiEnd could make his cameo, and they'd just think he's another ranger! My (long winded) point is: There's hardly any need for an explanation. Morpher grants them access to different heroes, that's all we need to know.

And, Axel Almere, that's a good idea. Good lad, wish there were more people like you! We all know Sally was the sexiest female on that show, though. Wink, wink.

Speaking of which, I wonder what, or if they'll even do the Basco scenes. This has me uneasy with a Go-Busters adaptation, as Enter was what made that show entertaining for me (And yes, kids, I am aware they will have different actors for these characters, and therein lies the problem. Recent actors have been rather soulless). Not that I really care, since like Samurai, and the original MegaForce, if it's bad, I'll just skip it.

    Nin nin nin nin nin

Angels plus pirates equal to teenagers with attitude.

    Nice equation.

My theory (if saban use dairanger suit)

Dairanger is Gosei and his team before he turned into bodyless soul.

He fall asleep until he needed to recruit new team

He use tiki form (giant gosei morpher) to communicate with rangers

Then Gosei creates Super megaforce power based on his team color (dairanger)

Megaforce power is created based on zordon's first team color (mmpr)

  9. Gokaiger would be best to watch if they just reuse like always. How the hell are they going to explain Dairanger or any other suits that wasn't shown in the US. Some fans may recognize them but it feels like they is a gaping hole in the plot.

  10. Unknown Says:

I don't get people here. You're all purists of anything Japanese -_- yet, when they may pay tribute to Sentai and give an Easter Egg to fans of both, you're not happy.

Also to point out, they've only just started editing Super Megaforce together. Hence why there's barely any original footage included but we KNOW they were constantly filming original footage (especially to adapt Jake's behaviour and morphs/fights). This is also a MARKETING teaser, not for public eyes that was included at SDCC for any companies wandering the floor and as a bonus for fans. Just a concept trailer that was roughly cut together. Think before you criticize.

  11. Nolan Johnson Says:

@Anon2: That might legitimately work. Since Apparently Gosei's been guarding the earth for years (and yet it took us 20 to even know he existed >.>) These might've been rangers who might've fought years prior, somewhere between the wild west rangers and the original rangers. either that, or they could be another set of Alien Rangers from Zordon's planet (think its called Eltar or something) Heck they did it with the Kakurangers, don't see why they can't do it here. Besides, these rangers are based on constellations so the idea of them being aliens totally works here

  12. Anonymous Says:

It looks good. I just wish they didn't have them morph twice because that takes up time.

  13. Anonymous Says:

what happened to the SS...PR will imitate again the suits for Dairanger?? This will be a big question

  14. JumpTheShark Says:

At least Saban isn't turning Power Rangers into Fruit Samurai or Fruit Ninja and forcing us to watch people break dance. Break Dancing needs to die out like Disco.

  15. Anonymous Says:

this is considered a treat, using a team that existed before 1993.

let us see how this is used, it is not necessary to explain their existence.

let us hope the other 15 before the dairangers are paid tribute to as well.

we could be seeing their keys along with the dairangers own keys here in the country to buy.

this is 20 years overdue, using a super sentai team in the us and reinterpreting them as a pr team.

i would love to see how saban does with them and the other 15 we did not get if he plans to use those suits since a majority of the time the source pirates turned into pre-mmpr teams.

  16. Anonymous Says:

Lazy pricks is going to reuse Gokaiger footage and then water it down. Best stick with the original source material. And for the fanboys out there being apologist for Saban. My question is Why? These guys go out of their way to insult your intelligence and you keep saying Wait! Maybe this and Maybe that. When every single one of your predictions are always dead wrong. Just give up already.

  17. Anonymous Says:

"Dairanger is Gosei and his team before he turned into bodyless soul"

it could work for me, I mean they can explain that tha white ranger was Gosei, and the other ones were his team, and that's the reason why they have powers

I just hope they link the mega war with RPM

how to explain the other ranger teams not shown in US? maybe they're teams that came before mighty morphin and/or teams that came from other planets like "lost galaxy" and alien rangers

even Gokaiger from original sentai was a team of alien space pirates and not from Earth

  20. Didn't anyone notice the Gokaiger's hands and cuffs @0:49 from their ending theme song?

  21. I don't understand Saban. They're given a Sentai series with an awesome, marketable theme: Space Pirates. And what do they do with that badass theme? Flush it entirely, apparently.

I can just imagine the development meeting:
"Alright guys, how should we adapt this Space Pirate sentai show?"
"Oh, hey, let's make them high school students."
    "Why?"
"Dunno. It was the first thing I thought of."
"But then how do we explain the pirate motif?"
    "We don't. Kids are idiots."
"I'm just saying... every recent season has been about high school students, it might be more fresh to approach them as Pirates."
    "Kids hate pirates."
"Wouldn't the continuing popularity of Pirates of the Carribean kinda disprove that?"
"Ha! Saban Entertainment laughs in the face of this 'proof' of which you speak."

  22. Anonymous Says:

    @Dylan

Ummmmm The last few seasons have not been about high school studnets, in fact the last one to even do so was Dino Thunder.

  23. Anonymous Says:

this season will either kill the show or save it. megaforce was the worst season (I re watched the seasons after knowing what sentai is so its not just being a fanboy).

they introduced all the zords in the first 5 episodes, the got rid of datas and they replaced him with datos (pronounced dat-os because apparently the Japanese were pronouncing there own words wrong). and the list goes on.

  24. Anonymous Says:

i don't care how the story goes. i just want to see the morphing.
