Tales of Asteria Mobile Game Unites Tales of Characters

The newest title has been revealed on Namco Bandai Games' Tales of RPG franchise under the title Tales of Asteria last Monday.

To be released for smartphones via the App Store Google Play store is the “RPG that ties together intersecting feelings”. Aside from that, the game would be free-to-play with in-game content available for purchase. In fact, the streaming of the teaser promotional video has began that will feature a complete original story.



According to the game's official website which also opened last Monday, the word "Asteria" means "story of stars". Furthermore, the website is already accepting pre-registration for the game and as a bonus, those who would register earli will be given a double chance to receive a Milla card and one more character card that could also be used in the game. However, as of press time, Namco Bandai has halted registrations in order to perform maintenance.

As previously reported, Do as Infinity will perform the game's theme song, “believe in you.”

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles "Return to Symphonia" Trailer

Namco Bandai Games Europe recently released a new promotional video for the Tales of Symphonia HD Remaster Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles, entitled "Return to Symphonia". It is scheduled to be released in the North American, Australasia and European territories early next year.


The promo features the opening songs "Starry Heavens (Version 2013)" and "Soshite Boku ni Dekiru Koto (Version 2013)" by Day After Tomorrow for Tales of Symphonia, and "Ninin Sankyaku" by Misono for Dawn of the New World.

Additionally, the details for its Collector's Edition had been revealed. The set, limited to 10,000 copies, comes with a set of five Chibi Kyun Chara mini figures, a paperback novel detailing the events between both games, a multi-disc soundtrack, and a special collector’s packaging.


Tales of Symphonia takes place in Sylvarant and follows the adventures of Lloyd Irving, who accompanies his childhood friend, Colette Brunel. She is destined to go on a journey to save their world. As their journey progresses, they learn that saving Sylvarant endangers Tethe'alla, a world parallel to their own.

Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles includes the main game, and its sequel, Dawn of the New World, and comes with dual audio, the first Tales game to have such feature. Coming this February 25th in North America and in Europe on the 28th. [PRE-ORDER HERE!]

Namco Bandai Games had released the latest English promo for TALES OF XILLIA 2, centering around a pocket watch that contains mysterious powers. Scheduled to head to the West this 2014, the game is a direct sequel to the "Tales" latest flagship title, Tales of Xillia.


Set one year after the first game, Tales of Xillia 2 centers around the theme: "RPG where choice weaves the future" — players can make decisions to change the course of the game.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles Collector's Edition Announced

At the New York Comic Con, Namco Bandai Games announced that they will be releasing a limited edition Tales of Symphonia Chronicles Collector's Edition will be available in the West. In addition to the game, the set include various limited edition bonuses, exclusive only to its 15,000 owners.

The collector's edition will bundle a soundtrack, four figurines (Lloyd, Collette, Emil, Marta), a light novel based on the game, and an art box. Limited only to 15,000 copies, the set costs US$99.95.

An Interview with "Tales" Series Producer Hideo Baba

Tales of Xillia Gameplay Showcases "Tribute to Tales" DLC Costumes

It's been at least a month since the retail release of the English version of the 13th flagship title in the Tales series, TALES OF XILLIA. And, Namco Bandai Games started streaming a gameplay promo showcasing the downloadable costumes.


Dubbed as the "Tribute to Tales series" DLC, the release comes with Jude's Leon Magnus (Tales from Destiny) costume, Milla's Dhaos (Tales of Phantasia) costume, Alvin's Kratos Aurion (Tales of Symphonia) costume, Elize's Mint Adenade (Tales of Phantasia) costume, Rowen's Barbatos Goetia (Tales of Destiny 2) suit, and Leia's Farah Oersted (Tales of Eternia) dress.

It was announced on the September 5th issue of Enterbrain's Weekly Famitsu magazine that Tales of Symphonia: Unisonant Pack, PlayStation 3's remaster of the said game, includes new crossover costumes: Xillia's Alvin and Elize's costume for Zelos and Presea, And Xillia 2's Ludgar for Kratos.
