Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Gets New Graphic Novel Series

Coming along with the ongoing release of Power Rangers Samurai and Megaforce graphic novels comes the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Papercutz announced the release of the new graphic novel just in time for Power Rangers' 20th anniversary.

Ever since we began publishing POWER RANGERS comics, it's been my dream to bring back the Mighty Morphinteam,” said series editor Michael Petranek. “I grew up with the TV show, which makes this all the more special. I want to see Rita Repulsa again. I want to see stories that take place between the original episodes. We’ve been waiting over 15 years for new stories with these characters! With the 20th anniversary of the show’s debut this year, it just made too much sense not to do this.

The first volume of MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS releases in May 2014, and will be available at all major retailers, bookstores, and comic book stores, and e-books via comiXology, iVerse, and all e-reader devices.

Part of Me hopes Trini is not in it because of the possibility of it seeming disrespectful

Actualy she does since the graphic novel takes place during the mmpr years before the replacement come in.

Despite the show's 20th anniversary, the networks (namely Nick and Vortexx on the CW) have no use for it anymore; on Nick, it continues to bring low ratings and gets constantly pre-empted, just like RPM on ABC back in 2009. Vortexx took Lost Galaxy off the air permanently back in January for reasons unknown and Vortexx on the CW will not rerun the rest of the season nor will they bring another season to the block. On the other hand, Nicktoons is airing it at 6am, 9am, and 3:30p, but now only on weekdays.

@Deragon: It's Trini, not necessarily Thuy.

You do have a point and i have a feeling that super megaforce is the final season before it ends in nickelodeon unless net flix will use it.
