Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Complete DVD Set Previewed


This September 10th will be the release of the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters trading card game anime in North American territories. The anime's official Facebook page showed a preview on its complete 10-disc, 5 season set.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Season 1 DVD Box Set costs $44.95, and will be released this September 10th. Also available are two separate volumes of the first season, each costing $24.95 each [PRE-ORDER HERE]. Release dates of Seasons 2 to 5 DVDs are yet to be announced. Once you complete the whole set, the spines combine to form Exodia the Forbidden One!

The release includes all episodes aired in the US in English dub. No Japanese audio and/or English subtitles included.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters follows Yugi Mutou, a timid kind-hearted boy, who embarks on a journey with his friends - Katsuya, Hiroto, and Anzu - to Duelist Kingdom, a tournament on the island of the same name, to free his grandfather from imprisonment by Maximillion Pegasus.

    Ugh! No japanese audio with english subtitles.... That completely stopped me from wanting this set.

    At least there's subtitled episodes on Dailymotion. Plus, Nicktoons has slightly reduced the number of Yu-Gi-Oh! airings:

    Yu-Gi-Oh!: Mon.-Thu. 8:30p; no more Yu-Gi-Oh! on Fridays; also, they've permanently removed promos for the Digimon/Yu-Gi-Oh! hour.

    ZEXAL: Sat. 2:30p; Sun. 11:30a-12:30p

    Since this is for the English dub. You should've used the English names of the characters in the story at the end of article
