Ayaka Komatsu Hopes for a Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Reunion

Gravure idol and actress Ayaka Komatsu recently commented in an interview for her new film “Talk to the Dead” that she wants to have a Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon reunion. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is TOEi's live action adaptation of Naoko Takeuchi's classic shoujo manga, that originally aired in 2003.

During the interview, Komatsu stated that she "wanted to study the basics of acting and work on Sailor Moon again from the beginning". As Sailor Venus in PGSM, it is Komatsu's first lead role in a television series.

She added that she recently heard about the Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: 10 YEARS AFTER v-cinema, and wonders why can't PGSM have a reunion since it has been 10 years since the show ended. Komatsu commented, “It's 10 years after PGSM but we Sailor Scouts still have some kind of atmosphere during PGSM when we meet in private. I wonder if we suit that costume but I really want to do 10 years later story!

Yeah! They really need to make that reunion special happen.

That would be a very good idea, considering the release of the new anime series this December. It would be nice to watch the character all grown up and returning to battle 10 years later...
C'mon Komatsu, gather the other Sailor Senshi and make/force TOEI do it for you guys! Hahaha

I wish they did more than just the dark kingdom arc as it had such potential I would love to see a 10 year reunion, and last I heard all the girls are still in contact with one another (or at least the 5 main girls)

Ehh, it was alright I guess. Though the acting was terrible and the effects very low key. And the writing was mediocre and full of tired soap clichés.

No surprise it did poorly. So I doubt there's much clamour for a reunion.

If it didn't have Sailor Moon name attached to it. No one would have remembered it.
