Live Action "Haganai" Film Set to Premiere on February 1st

It has been announced that the live action film adaptation of Yomi Hirasaka's light novel Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai) will premiere in Japanese theaters on February 1st, 2014.

Additionally, two new key images had been released.

The film stars Seto Koji as Kodaka Hasegawa, a half-British high school student who finds it difficult to make friends due to his naturally-blond hair and fierce-looking eyes. Along with his rude classmate Yozora Mikazuki (played Kie Kitano), who's also a loner, they formed the “Neighbor’s Club” for people who's shares the same experience as they are. Later on, the busty Sena Kashiwazaki (Mio Otani) joined the club as their group begins to attract more people.

Hirasaka confirms that this will be a stand-alone movie, and not a direct adaptation.

  1. I'm sorry, but you couldn't give Koji Seto "fierce-looking eyes" if you ran over his pet cat with a steamroller. The boy's face is just not made for anger.
