Pokémon producer and CEO of The Pokémon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara will be making an appearance in the October 28th episode of NHK's Professional Shigoto no Ryugi program. The show's episode summary states that a new game starring Pikachu is currently in development.
Accordingly, it is mentioned that Ishihara began production on the game this summer. Past Pikachu games include Pokémon: Yellow, Hey You, Pikachu! for the Nintendo 64, Pokémon Channel for the Nintendo GameCube, PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure and PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond for the Nintendo Wii.
