The full trailer for the first 3D CG Doraemon film, Stand By Me Doraemon has begun streaming at Cinema Today website on Friday. The trailer not only features the scope of the story, also the theme song by Hata Motohiro.
As the trailer began, the question, "Is Doraemon ending this summer?" was being asked. It also shows Doraemon telling Nobita, "I can't stay here anymore.” With this, the trailer has proclaimed that the film is created for “everyone who has experienced childhood.” The film recreates famous chapters from the manga which includes: "Mirai no Kuni kara Harubaruto" (All the Way from a Future Land) which is Doraemon and Nobita's first meeting; "Sayonara, Doraemon" (Farewell, Doraemon) that comprises their possible final parting; and "Nobita no Kekkon Zenya" (The Night Before Nobita's Wedding) showing Nobita and Shizuka's wedding.
In 1969, Doraemon was created through the creative minds of the duo Fujimoto Hiroshi and Abiko Motoo or as we all know, Fujiko Fujio. It is a story of a robotic cat who was sent by a boy from the future to help his unfortunate grandfather, Nobita. Together with their friends, they take adventures with everyday childhood issues, solve and at the same time, cause problems with the help of the gadgets in Doraemon's fourth-dimensional pocket. Aside from that, they also take journeys through time and space.
In-charge of the 36th Doraemon film after doing a collaborations with Japan's first feature-length 3D CG anime film, Friends: Mononoke Shima no Naki are the 49-year-old Yamazaki Takashi (Returner, Always: Sunset on Third Street, Ballad, Space Battleship Yamato) with 48-year-old Yagi Ryuichi (Pénélope tête en l'air line director, Moyashimon 3D CG director). In fact, it was Yamazaki who wrote the film's screenplay.
The film is scheduled to open on August 8th.
