Shuriken Sentai Ninninger: Starninger Finally Revealed

YEEEEHAWWW!!! I'll say it again! Boy, that was fast! The series has not aired for now yet we now have our first official look for the 6th member of Ninninger that is somewhat a nod to the american ninja from Kakuranger: Starninger! And yes, we have another gold ranger in our midst.

Starninger will transform using his strange burger shape transformation device called the Ninja Star Burger, placing his golden shuriken that will act as a cheese for the burger (now ain't that American!) and his main weapon is an electric guitar shaped sword called the Star Sword Gun.

Also seen in the scan is a brief look of his main mecha, Rodeomaru, which can transform into Bison King and also combines with Shurikenjin to form King Shurikenjin.

So what are your thoughts regarding this guy? Will he speak english like Jiraiya/Ninja Black and Shurikenger does? Will he be annoying? Only time will tell and your comments down below will lighten up this news.

The suit? Awesome. The sword? Looks kickass.

But that henshin device. A burger? A fucking burger?

    zeo ranger starniger

  5. Anonymous Says:

I just can't take that seriously...

You know, I really wish they stopped going for the gold color for the 6th member. Wish they could've gone for a green color like in Hurricanger. But eh.

So it's either we're getting more than six this season or Toei said "F*** it, you already know there are going to be six Rangers, why even make it a secret". But burgers and rodeos, I hope this isn't like a "Murican" type American character.

  9. partiallyBatty Says:

I...I'm at a loss for words for this

  10. Unknown Says:

    . . .

He has a poncho. And his helmet is blatantly a hat.

The only decent design is his weapon. Oh well. Being that we're getting his info this quick, that seems to suggest at least another Nininnger down the line. Hopefully that one has a better aesthetic.

  11. Anonymous Says:

Ehhhhh hopefully it will grow on me.

  12. Anonymous Says:

The suit colors are so closed to these of shinken gold.

  13. It would have Been great if the color of the suit was black instead

  14. Anonymous Says:

This is to all of the people talker about the henshin device:

ShinkenGold had a friggin SushiChanger. If you can get over that, this should be no problem. There's just way too many people complaining about gimmicks in a KID'S SHOW. Get over it... The show isn't made for you guys. Toei couldn't care less if you don't like it!!!

  15. Anonymous Says:

Information like this is better served after we have a few eps shown. Because now I'm really kinda lost at what to expect from this series.

But then again...Shinkenger had Gold using a sushi changer. That was a great I'll give them a time to wow me.

  16. Anonymous Says:

Really in a kids show where people pull weapons from thin air and combine mecha that would be impossible to create and this is where you call bs

  17. Anonymous Says:

A ninja from the west? Burgers? HAHAHHAHAHAHHA, Can't be more "subtle" than that.
This series... Is looking to be one made more for America - and not so much Japan.

  18. Unknown Says:

Man they sure do love that blue and gold combo

  19. Unknown Says:

Man they sure love that gold and Blue combo

  20. Love it. It looks awesome, he's clearly meant to look out of place since his character probably will be, the burger morpher is unique. I would have gone for me step further and gave him a lasso weapon of some kind (hope Rodeomaru has one) but no complaints otherwise.

  21. Anonymous Says:

welcome back Shinkengold, we've missed you

  22. Anonymous Says:

I'm calling it, he's definitely an American

  23. Anonymous Says:

For those saying that his suit colors are close to Shinken Gold, save for the poncho, they ARE the exact same. Gold body, with blue limbs.

This is literally either Genta or Antonio giving up fish for burgers.

  24. It's offical, Nininger is going to be the G-Gundam of Sentais. And I'm fine with that.

  25. It's offical, Nininger is going to be the G-Gundam of Sentais. And I'm fine with that.

  26. Ono Says:

Hmmm, last time we got the 6th ranger info this early this detailed... we ended up getting a Cyan, Gray, Violet and Silver. I'm guessing we'll at least be getting another Silver this time around. Perhaps with a Crescent symbol? Star and Moon? A female perhaps? Aaah... that's probably wishful thinking.

Speaking of Silver, I agree with many that I actually would love it if they'd go with black or green or any other color rather than Gold. The charger I'm okay with, the helmet... meh, but the most annoying thing would be the mech. Another uninspiring piece of mecha I wouldn't dare to put on display with my other Sentai figures.

  27. IAreZay Says:

All I wanted out of this series was a green 6th hero . . . But instead ANOTHER gold on a team that already has a yellow .

  28. Anonymous Says:

this has to be the most randomness ranger ever. Cowboy looking suit with a guitar sword and a burger henshin device...

  29. Anonymous Says:

This is wrong in sooooooo many ways...

  30. I can't wait to see this new Sentai series!

  31. Lucky Ninja Says:

It used to be a cool morpher/phone or something that would make sense like ToQ 6's smartphone

    And now it's a burger.

Looks like Toei couldn't care less.
Idk, I feel Toei just wants to troll all the older fanbase now with just that burger (or at least Americans in general).

Can't wait to see the actor for StarNinger. I'm guessing he's most likely American.

  32. Anonymous Says:

from the weapon it should be match if the 6th ranger color between grey black navy or silver not gold

  33. Buckaroo Banzai Says:

So he's a cowboy. I like that. A space cowboy I suppose you could say. The fringes and his transformation device even looks like a sheriff badge. Very interested to see this guy in action.

  34. Anonymous Says:

i love the cowboy hat helmet. love it.

  35. Anonymous Says:

i love the cowboy hat helmet. and while gold rangers are a bit overdone this works for me.

  36. Anonymous Says:

His new weapon: smoke bomb calf fries

  37. Anonymous Says:

I like burgers. Especially with cheese in it.
    A cheeseburger morpher? COOL.

  38. Anonymous Says:

Sushi + samurais + japanese culture = okay, makes sense.
hamburger + ninjas + japanese culture = food?

And, just wanted to point something out - Toei does care. ... They care about the large adult fanbases willing to spend a buttload of cash on any product related to sentai. :) just a sayinnn.

  39. Anonymous Says:

Shinkengold went to America. There, he met Ohred, and the bull from Gingaman. And... .... ... That(s the story of how he became a cowboy ninja with a burger morpher. Oh, and he became a rocker too.

  40. Anonymous Says:

The fuck is wrong with some you anons being excited about this? You were excited excited about ToQ 6 and look how that turned out. You were excited about Super Mega Farce and look how even that turned out. It's like you all will just excuse mediocrity and take it as being creative. Man the bar has been set way to low.

  41. Anonymous Says:

"ShinkenGold had a friggin SushiChanger. If you can get over that, this should be no problem."

That fit with the series it was in. This is a Japanese themed series, with a American themed ranger. It clashes, for better or worse.

  42. Anonymous Says:

if this series include hotdog sword and pizza sword later, i'll definitely watch it
