Actor Hiroyuki Watanabe has passed away. He was 66 years old.
The news was announced by his wife, actress Hideko Hara, on May 5, 2022.
According to Hideko Hara, her husband was found unconscious in their home's gym room on May 3.
Hiroyuki Watanabe was known to tokusatsu fans as Commander Akio Ishimuro in Ultraman Gaia, Gaoh in Kamen Rider Den-O the Movie, and Taiga Saejima in the GARO franchise. He has also appeared in Gamera and Godzilla movies.
