Meet the live action cast of Netflix's live adaptation of the classic 90's anime Yuyu Hakusho!

Leading the cast is none other than Takumi Kitamura, who also played the lead role of Takemichi Hanagaki in the live action Tokyo Revengers film. He will play Yusuke Urameshi, a teenager who finds himself becoming a "spirit detective" after being brought back from death.

Jun Shison plays Kurama, a being from the demon world who incarnates on Earth to escape his enemies. Jun Shison played Raito Suzuki/Tokkyu Ichigou in Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger.

While Kazuma Kuwabara and Hiei are not yet revealed, we do meet the main villains of the show.

Comedians Shohei Osada (Chocolate Planet) and Naoki Matayoshi (Peace) are slated to play the Younger and Elder Toguro Brothers, respectively. It appears that the show will focus on the Tournament Arc.

Yuyu Hakusho is scheduled for release in December 2023, exclusively on Netflix.
