It was recently announced that the estate of Superman creator Joe Shuster has filed a lawsuit Warner Bros. and DC comics last January 31, 2025 and this could lead to the delay of the new DCU movie that is to be released this July.
The said lawsuit is seeking "injunctive relief and damages for the defendants" with the Shuster estate saying that the 2025 Superman movie lacks the rights to be released in the following key territories which consist of Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia.
According to a Warner Bros. Discovery spokesman, they will tirelessly defend their rights as they disagree with the lawsuit. For now, let's all wait for some updates regarding this legal matter and hope that we will get to see the movie on its release date.
