Twelve (12) albums of idol group AKB48 simultaneously ranked at Oricon's TOP 100 Weekly Album Rankings, for the week of January 7th. Included are 11 of the remastered theater albums, that was released last January 1st.

AKB48 beaten the record acquired by both Candies (in 1978) and KARA (in 2011) achieved in “number of albums ranked simultaneously on the TOP 100” for a female group, which was 5 albums.

Additionally, AKB48 became the 3rd female artist (including solos) to have over 10 works simultaneously ranked on the ‘TOP 100′. This was previously accomplished by Misora Hibari (12 albums) and Matsuda Seiko (13 albums).
