Power Rangers Super Megaforce Finale: The Legendary Battle

Actor and martial artist Jason David Frank reveals on his official Facebook page that the final episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce will be entitled “Legendary Battle”. The episode is said to adapt Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger's Episodes 1, 50 and 51.

The episode was filmed back in May where past Power Rangers actors made various cameos. The episode is written by Seth Walther, who wrote several Power Rangers Samurai (Forest for the Trees, Unexpected Arrival, Boxed In, Shell Game, A Sticky Situation, A Crack In The World, Evil Reborn, The Sealing Symbol) and Power Rangers Megaforce (Stranger Ranger, Harmony and Dizchord, Who’s Crying Now?, Prince Takes Knight) episodes.

Making their cameos are:
  • Jason Faunt - Wes/Red Time Force Ranger
  • Jason David Frank - Tommy/Green Ranger
  • Danny Slavin - Leo/Galaxy Red
  • Melody Perkins - Karone/Galaxy Pink II
  • Reggie Rolle - Damon/Galaxy Green
  • Selwyn Ward - T.J./Blue Space Ranger
  • Sean Cw Johnson - Carter/Red Lightspeed Ranger
  • Hector David Jr - Mike/Green Samurai Ranger
  • Brittany Pirtle - Emily/Yellow Samurai Ranger
  • Alison MacInnis - Dana/Pink Lightspeed Rescue Ranger
  • Patricia Ja Lee - Cassie/Pink Space Ranger
Power Rangers Super Megaforce focuses on the Rangers' mission to defeat a massive alien army Armada that was sent to conquer Earth. To face this threat, Gosei, a supernatural guardian who has protected Earth for centuries, gives the Rangers special morphers and keys, which allow them to morph into Super Megaforce Rangers. The Rangers also have an added special ability to morph into any team of Power Rangers from the past. These super-sized adventures can only mean one thing: the all-new Power Rangers Super Megaforce has arrived!

Ok this post inspired a theory in me, a theory so ridiculous in needs to work. We saw Dana in her lightspeed rescue jacket and Joel in his worker uniform and the legend war footage is only for the final episode. So maybe the reason why the Disney cast and various other rangers weren't invited for the legend war shoot (or at least said they were not invited) is because they will show up in tribute episodes and they wanted those who couldn't be in tribute episodes to be in the Legendary Battle!!!!

  2. Blazer Says:

So, if I'm reading this right, the Great Legend War for the Power Rangers will NOT happen at the end of Megaforce, but at the very end of Super Megaforce.

Even more, we're now seeing that the previous teams will NOT be losing their powers.

  3. Sean Says:

This does make a lot of sense. I thought that they meant "Goseiger 50 and 51, and Gokaiger 01". But Goseiger only had 50 episodes (unless you count "Last Epic", but that was a movie).

The only way this makes sense to me is if, upon arriving to the moment Troy had visions about in the Legendary War, Troy now begins to have visions about the end of Gokaiger.

The writer for Harmony and Dizchord is making the Super Megaforce finale? ...We're doomed.

  5. Anonymous Says:

It not the adaptation at ruins Super Sentai but Japan itself.

  6. so if this is gonnna be the last episode of Super Megaforce... does it means the end of the series?, no gobuster and no kyuruger? or it would be as gokaiger... the legend war was between episode 16 and 17?

  7. That is an interesting way of putting it. Wait, does that mean all of them will lose their ranger powers by the finale?

  8. Anonymous Says:

Now this I approve. Having the big legend war as a finale. Adapting episodes 1. 50, and 51, its a good idea and can work if done right.

Boring title, A Former Samurai Writer, Wont air for another 16 months. Yeah calling it right now. This, like haha Super Mega Force will be shit. After this I will be officially be done with Power Rangers and completely into Sentai. If Tzachor and those dick heads over at Saban refuse to let the Franchise Mature then so be it. Thanks for the memories Power Rangers.

RIP Gokaiger. you have been bastardized by Saban.

I think this really works, since most power ranger seasons ended with all the rangers losing their powers.
No point in giving them all their powers just to take it away.
Hopefully this'll be twice as epic as gokaiger, the overhyped super sentai season.

I look forward to this and those sweet gokai tears.

wrote Power Rangers Samurai? too easy job...

To anon [1:34 PM] and [9:53] anyone else saying this will ruin Gokaiger... really? Do you seriously think that. It's not like this will make gokaiger go away, it will still be there no matter how bad Super Megaforce (*sigh* still cring at that title) could be (and to be honest i've been losing hope more and more). Despite my own mixed opinions and the 2 samurai seasons I can still watch Shinkenger and enjoy it and Samurai was a mostly a shot for shot watered down remake.

    Chill out people.

So according to your logic. TOEI is to be blamed for allowing Saban to release an inferior product because why exactly? What would be the point for telling Tzachor and his puppets to release a watered down version of the source material? We all know Power Rangers was a better show hands down when it was flirting with danger. The First season of MMPR, In Space, RPM and Time Force are great examples. I just don't understand you apologists.

Super Sentai is differnt show you fucks, quit crying about it foreal. If it bothers you that much, just watch that & leave PR alone. I didn't grow up watching Super Sentai, I just recently heard about them about a year ago. I like both of them.

  16. Anonymous Says:

At the end of In Space the power rangers fought "everyone" and Zordon's energy cleansed the whole Universe of all evil.

MMPR The original power coins were destroyed, the second set of power coins were destroyed. Green Ranger's power were "evil" and went away with the candle.

Of course the majority of the fan base (children) watching Samurai SupSamurai or Megaforce really have no clue as to the stories of the older episodes. My griping is unfounded because it is a children's show and it is there for entertainment.

Nothing compares to MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS!!!!!

  18. The Determined Typist Says:

Ah yes, people complain about Power Rangers being bad, but keep in mind about how the casting is done. Or what about concerned parents worrying how violent the show was. An example: Lord Zed...Need I say more?

It is a kids show, but that doesn't mean they can't make attempts to make it entertaining to older fans. But then again, it really comes down to their execution of attempting this, as they may just play it safe.

As for Super Sentai...My advice is to realize Power Rangers is only an adaptation...these are two completely different animals. They without a doubt have similarities-if are not almost exact elements included in both, but they are different. -So if nothing else, remember they are two separate franchises: one the original, the other is the adaption.

I understand that Power Rangers is a Children Show, but I think that they showed really start maturing the Series. I know that a lot of Children watches the show, but theirs more of us that has been watching Power Rangers since it first aired in 1993 with the originally five Power Rangers Jason, Billy, Zack, Trini and Kim and later Tommy(The Green Ranger, leter The White Ranger). I mean seriously us order fans are over 20 years old now. For the new fans to learn about the entire show, it would liyyerally take years to watch every episode and understand every concept from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers plus the Films. I don't know if you guys agree with me or not. But.. How many fans out there wants them to create a series dedicated to the order fans?
